Jose Medrano, candidate for State Representative 148, is a resident of the Woodland Heights neighborhood and is ready to devote his time to the community.

Jose Medrano is the founder of Medrano Insurance Agency, which specializes in auto, home, life insurance and financial investments. Medrano began his career in politics by participating in the Texas Legislative Internship Program sponsored by State Senator Rodney Ellis. He worked as a Legislative Aid in the office of State Representative Garnett Coleman and later for District 148 incumbent, State Representative Jessica Farrar. Jose Medrano also worked in the Office of the Attorney General Child Support Division.

Jose Medrano is the proud son of Mexican immigrants and a product of Texas public schools. He worked endless hours to put himself through business school at the University of Houston and established a successful business.
